Redevelopment of the Amgrow Group's website portfolio

Mobile responsive and SEO friendly, 4mation developed a multi-site installation that uses shared elements for economies of scale.

The story

It is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of specialty agricultural and professional horticultural products and services in Australia, particularly in turf management, specialty agriculture, home garden products and pest management.

The Amgrow Group of companies operates nationally throughout Australia in production, distribution, sales and technical support services. The companies are committed to developing innovative products that meet the core objective of environmental sustainability. Providing superior options for plant nutrition and pest and disease control, Amgrow responds to changing grower practice and product requirements.

“We first engaged 4mation to assist in redeveloping a small portion of our website portfolio which included websites for three of our businesses. Now we are two websites into the project and so far we have been so thoroughly impressed with what the 4mation team can deliver, that we have expanded the project scope to encompass our entire website portfolio.

The 4mation team’s dedication to understanding the subtleties of each of our businesses has allowed us to produce a relevant and market-leading online presence in each of our unique sectors. It is extremely refreshing to work with a vibrant group of people who clearly have an immense passion for their work which shines through in the finished product. We would not hesitate to recommend 4mation to anyone looking to embark on a website project.”

The challenge

This project has a tight timeframe and an elaborate list of requirements which includes being mobile responsive and SEO friendly by design. To ensure Amgrow’s team can continue to manage and maintain the websites with minimal effort and frustration, the sites need to be centrally managed from a single Content Management System.

The result

We updated Amgrow’s websites with new custom design and functionality on a share platform, with reusable templates and components.

The result: a multi-site installation that uses shared elements for economies of scale, but also bespoke functionality and unique custom designs to re-affirm Amgrow’s web presence as the leader in several differing markets. The sites are managed from one Content Management System and provide all the flexibility and control requested by the client.

To date, we have launched two websites for Amgrow, with three more currently under development, and another two in the pipeline.
