Episode 3 of the 4m looks at our time at the UNSW Careers Expo, some videos we’ve been working on with our clients and the recent changes to our website and how important keeping your content up to date is.

Steve: Hello and welcome to episode 3 of the 4m. Today we are looking at our time at the UNSW Careers Expo and we are going to have a look at some videos that we’ve done with some clients.
Scott: We’re also going to have a look at some of the recent changes to our website including how important keeping your content up to date is.
UNSW Careers Expo
Steve: A few weeks ago Claudia, Michael and I attended the UNSW Careers Expo. It was out at Moore Park and we had a lot of fun. There was a lot of people to meet and we really like attending these sorts of events to do a bit of a meet and greet with the future stars of our industry and getting out to the universities and showing them what career paths they have available to them
Scott: We don’t really have a dedicated graduate program just yet but we’re always on the hunt for talented graduates who can really hit the ground running and we can help them take the first steps in their professional career and really accelerate them through that process.
Client Testimonial Videos
Scott: We wanted to make our client testimonials a bit more engaging, so we decided to hit the road with the camera and collect some insights into what it’s like working with us and a bit about the success we’ve been able to contribute to for our clients.
Steve: Videos are difficult to make, I know Scott and I make it look very easy, but I can guarantee this is not our first take on this shoot. We really appreciate our clients stepping in front of the camera and going out of their comfort zone a little bit. Though having said that most of them nailed it first take, putting us to absolute shame on that one. If you’d like to see some of our videos, we’ve got them on the homepage of the website and we’ll try and upload a few more every single month.
Steve: We always encourage our clients to keep their websites up to date not only just in content but in user experience and design trends as they evolve over time.
Scott: Our first website was way back in 2001 when we started the business and I’m very happy to say, for your viewing pleasure, we have a little treat, a little summary from the archives, take it away.
Steve: Well I hope you enjoyed that, Scott was here in the early days so you can blame him for some of the early iterations of that.
Scott: I think we nailed it, I think 2001 we nailed it, I think we should roll back.
Steve: I caught up with our Marketing Coordinator, Claudia earlier today and had a talk about what we did and why.
Claudia: Whilst our website was performing we wanted to take it to the next level which meant trying to drive more traffic to the website and increasing online conversion.We researched what was going on with our website, what our users were looking for and where we were losing them. Our first goal of the redesign was to improve the SEO to make it easier for potential clients to find us. Our second goal was to improve navigation so that users could find what they were looking for easier and faster. We found our users were really interested to see more of our work so we included case studies on our homepage as well as started a series of video testimonials with a few of our clients, to give our users a feel for what it’s like to work with us and what kind of value we can provide. So far our results have been really positive. We started running a series of ad campaigns to help drive the traffic to our website and since our redesign we’ve seen an increase in time spent on the website and already seen an increase in online conversion.
