4mation Hosts Zend Framework Sydney User Group Meetup

Last Wednesday, 4mation Technologies hosted their first meetup for the Zend Framework – Sydney User Group and it was a great success with 20 people attending! Our good friends at Anchor Systems generously provided lots of beer and pizza which everyone loved.

The topic of the evening, “Getting started with Zend Framework 2 (ZF2)” was presented by Dave Clark, a Zend Consultant and Teacher. Everyone had lots of questions and he had all the answers. We also learned how to configure and overwrite functionality of 3rd Party ZF2 Modules without touching their code. There was also a great session of networking with lots of business card swapping.

The next meetup will focus on how to use the new ZF2 Forms as well as discuss some future projects that the group would like to collaborate on.
